Title: Frame - import image is a gray box

Date: June 26, 1995

Problem:

When importing a scanned image from Pixel!FX the image appears as a grey box.

Cause:

Frame statically sets aside memory for images. The memory that is set aside is too small for many images.

Solution:

  1. Frame has a user reference file that can be adjusted. - this file location is at $FMHOME/fmint/xresources/Maker
  2. Change the following lines under MEMORY ALLOCATION FOR IMAGES AND FONTS

    Maker.clientBitmapSize: 4000000

    Maker.serverBitmapSize: 2000000
